The Vienna Gaels will head south to Padova for the 3rd and final round of the South/East Europe Regional Championship.

After a home triumph in Round 2, the men’s team find themselves in a commanding position. Their nearest rivals for the overall title, Warsaw and Prague, will not travel to Italy, so the title will be secured with a top four finish, if 2014 champions Munich Colmcillies win the tournament.

Nevertheless, the men are fully focused on making it two wins on the trot and have sent a talented squad of 18 intent on taking home two trophies on Sunday afternoon. Continue reading →

16 May was a historic day for the Vienna Gaels, as the men claimed only their second regional tournament, the first since 2013, after going through Round 2 of the South/East Europe Championship unbeaten.

6 ladies teams and 9 men’s took part in the day-long event on the outskirts of Vienna and were treated to glorious weather for Gaelic football. Continue reading →
